DMX refers to a number of technologies used in networking of and transmission of control data to lighting fixtures, effects and other show-control devices. The most common form of DMX transmission is DMX512, but other methods of transmitting the same information exist.
Max can be used effectively to process DMX information and output either to specialised hardware to create a DMX512 signal, or via ethernet to a show control network.
